Guidelines

Kloof Methodist Church desires to provide a safe environment for all children who attend church activities. Preventative steps will be taken to promote the safety of children and those who volunteer to work with them. Accordingly, the church adopts these guidelines and procedures. It is important that you become familiar with this information.

  • All children must be brought to the Children's Room for registration by their parent / guardian. Do not leave your child unsupervised.
  • Children will be accepted 15 minutes before programming is scheduled to begin, no sooner.
  • Children are to be picked up from the Children's Room immediately after programming is complete.
  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform KMC Children's Ministry of any allergies or special needs for their child.
  • Please do not send personal items to class with your child.
  • For their safety, children are not permitted to play unsupervised on the church grounds at any time, including Sundays.
  • Children who disrupt programming will be asked to listen to their teacher. If they continue to be disruptive they will be sent to 'time out'. It may be necessary for the child to leave the class and sit with their parents in service if this continues. Children under the age of 3, or over 11, will not be sent to time-out but taken straight to their parents.
  • Teachers will never hit children or use derogatory language.
